VIA Architecture has been selected as part of the engineering team to be lead architects and lead urban designers for the $1.4 Billion Evergreen Line in Vancouver, B.C.
The Evergreen Line is a planned 6.8-mile-long rapid transit line in Metro Vancouver. It will run from the Lougheed Town Centre SkyTrain station in Burnaby through Port Moody to Coquitlam.
The goal is to boost projected ridership by adding capacity, speed and integrating the system with the Millennium line to reduce the number of times riders need to change systems. The project is scheduled for completion in 2014.
